Description
Chloroacetic Acid (ClCH₂COOH) is a highly reactive, colorless to white crystalline solid with a pungent odor. It is an organochlorine compound widely used as an intermediate in the synthesis of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), dyes, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and other organic chemicals. Known for its strong acidity and reactivity, it is soluble in water, alcohol, and most organic solvents.
